由美國資料中心主辦的 Freedom 250 系列講座這次邀請到目前在美國女子籃球大學 D1 一級賽事 NCAA 發光發熱的兩位台灣球員 —— 米靖恩、林宇涵，以及台灣 Double Pump 女子籃球誌。

來自花蓮的林宇涵，從金甌女中畢業後馬上進入美國 NCAA D1 一級賽事，她即將升大二並加入馬凱特 大學。上賽季她在中田納西州大 D1 先發了6場，共打了32場比賽並平均貢獻13.2 分。米靖恩是2024年HBL賽事的 Final MVP (北一女中)，她即將第一次踏入 NCAA D1 。

「從HBL 到 NCAA: 籃球員的留學旅程」

GAME ON! Join this Freedom 250 event “From HBL to NCAA: The Journey of Student Athletes” hosted by American Spaces! We will meet two NCAA D1 basketball players Yu Han Lin (林宇涵) and  Savi Mi (米靖恩) and to hear about how they made it from high schools in Taiwan to the top NCAA division in the U.S.

Yu Han Lin entered NCAA D1 as a first-year college student. This past season, she was a starter in 6 of 32 games, and averaged 13.2 points for the University of Middle Tennessee’s D1 team. She is committed to play for Marquette University next in the Big East Conference to play against powerhouses like UConn and Villanova.

Savi Mi was the 2024 HBL Finals MVP, and she is the newest addition to the University of San Francisco D1 women’s basketball team.

How does one get recruited from here? How do NCAA teams play differently than here at home? What’s the path to the WNBA? These are just some of the questions we’ll be asking the athletes!

The event is partnered with Double Pump, a media community reporting on women’s basketball.
