1, Goal of the Activity
In order to increase the international horizons of our school, promote the spirit of “Studying through Service”, develop the intercultural understanding and communication skills of our students, and deepen their sense of social responsibility, international literacy, and global competitiveness, our school is participating in an international exchange program with a Japanese school.
2, Details:
A。 Exchange time and partner school
- Date: Nov 14 (Fri) 9:00-12:00
- School: Japan’s Kawase High School (near Kyoto)
B。Current Plan (subject to change)
- Welcoming Ceremony: 09:00-09:50 (Auditorium)
- Individual class activities: 10:00-11:50
C。Participant limit
- All 10th and 11th grade classes are welcome to apply; three will be selected.
- 10th and 11th grade Bilingual classes, as well as the International class, are automatically selected upon application. You must still submit a plan.

4, How to Apply:
- Application window: 2025/9/1 (Mon) – 9/19 (Fri) 16:30. Late applications will not be selected.
- Information needed: Submit the attached form, typed and printed, and with your teacher’s signature on it, to Teacher Chimmy Chang in the Office of R&D (extension #353).
5, Notes:
- The theme of your activity must be Green Living; for example, reducing personal carbon emissions or plastic usage, protecting the environment, recycling, SDGs, etc.
- Activities can take the form of cultural learning, shared experiences, fun sports, etc.
- Activities cannot include cooking (including camp stoves, induction cooking, any form of cooking).
6, Selection Process:
- Scoring Criteria:
- Topical relevance: 40%
- Effective activity planning: 30%
- Content is smooth and complete: 20%
- Creativity: 10%
- Results: Selected classes will be notified on 9/24 (Weds) by means of a note in their class locker. Results will also be announced by the International Affairs school cadre group.
7, Awards and Reimbursements:
- Participating classes will represent the school at a welcome ceremony the morning of the exchange day.
- Students from the selected classes will be awarded 1-8 hours of service time based on their overall performance and participation in the event, and will receive a commendation from the general organizer. (All students need to submit the feedback form by midnight of the exchange event day. Failure to submit on time will result in losing service hours.)
- Every class will receive a maximum of $2,000 NTD to assist with the purchasing of supplies for their event. (Inclusive of $500 NTD for snacks)
8, Important Notes Post-Selection
- Teachers may provide suggestions and make minor adjustments to the selected classes’ activity plans based on the needs of the exchange schools.
- There will be two dates for activity review scheduled, which may be increased or decreased based on the progress of preparations.
- Each class must choose a leader to join a Line group for follow-up communication.
